Falling Branch Chips Ahoy, is the grandson of our own Ch. Farmcliff Ben of Childs Play through his dam Falling Branch Taco Bell. He was bred by and is co-owned with Liz McKinney. Taco has a UKC Championship and would undoubtedly have an AKC Championship if she would only grow about a half inch in height. Unfortunately, at 4 years of age I believe she is through growing! Chips sire, Ch. Posey Canyon Storm Watch is a well known producer and has already produced several champions in only a few litters, following in his father, Ch. Posey Canyon Summer Storm BROMO footsteps. However, at a quick glance Chips could easily be mistaken for his grand dam, Ravenswood Bianca, who was a beautiful lady in her own right. It is from Bianca that Chips gets his head and body, along with that graceful long neck and sweet un-terrierlike temperament with other dogs.While Chips has all the head and bone that anyone could possibly want in a Parson Russell Terrier, he isn't coarse or overdone at all. He is wonderfully balanced which is immediately evident when he moves across the ground with that long lateral stride of his, never missing his mark. His layback of shoulder and upper arm combined with his well angulated rear give him the reach and drive that so many in the ring today just don't have. Chips first ever show was the weekend of the Virginia Terrier Club and the Virginia Kennel Club cluster. His first time in the ring renowned judge Ms. Sandra Goose Allen awarded Chips Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed for a 5 point major at the Virginia Terrier Club Specialty Show. The very next day judge Ms. Charlotte Patterson again awarded Chips with Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed for another 5 point major. What a wonderful start in the show ring for what is truly a fantastic little dog. Many thanks to Liz for this beautiful boy. |
