Falling Branch Bold As Brass', attitude is just exactly as his name implies - look out world because here I come! From the moment he was born he was the adventurous one. He was the first one in his litter of 7 to climb out of the whelping box, the first one to bark, the first one to howl and the first one to go climbing up the stairs to come tumbling down faster than he went up! Brass' name is also indicative of his temperament. He approaches life with a flair and a style all his own. Like his father, Ch. Farmcliff Ben of Childs Play, no better ambassador for the breed could possibly be found. All who meet this daring young man fall in love with him and want nothing more than to take him in their arms and their hearts. There is nothing in life that will ever bother this intrepid young man either in the show ring or in the field.Brass' breeding goes back to some of the best Parson Russell Terriers in the country. His father Ch. Farmcliff Ben of Childs Play was not only an AKC Champion of Record, but he was also my best hunting dog and partner in the field having an AWTA Certificate to Groundhog and an NHC to Raccoon. His mother Bebe is a daughter of the immortal Ch. Beano of Ravenswood who has earned a Bronze Medallion for Special Merit in the field and rarely lost to any dog when being shown in the working class while in the JRTCA. Her bloodlines include such notables as Ravenswood Tingle, Meynell Jangle and Meynell Turban to name just a few. We expect that Brass will more than live up to the paw prints that went before him. Brass finished his championship easily like everything he does. He is an extremely balanced dog, front to rear, and moves like he could trot all day if the occasion warranted. He has a nice harsh straight coat that lies close to his body as the standard dictates. He has correct shoulder assembly placement, a spannable flexible chest and all the angles anyone could possibly ever ask for in a terrier. Brass sired two AKC Champions of Record out of Ch. Windy Hill Snow Day ROM; Ch. Childs Play Been There, the sire of our Ch. Childs Play Shot Thru T'Heart and Ch. Childs Play Dashing Thru The Snow, who is owned by Nancy Dougherty of Windy Hill Kennel in Pennsylvania. He is also the father of a litter in Sweden, one of which found her way here to the US and lives with us. You can find Radagast Isengar listed on our website under the Ladies Section. Brass' tale isn't finished yet as we expect to breed him to our Ch. Childs Play Music To My Ears in 2008 thus combining the bloodlines of the two finest dogs we know, our Ben and Buffy who have given us so much already. |
