Childs Play Send In The Clowns, call name Emmett, was named for the song and for Emmett Kelly. He is another one of Buffy's children who we have kept for his outstanding quality to go on with for our future. We have been waiting a long time for a male with some color as Buffy has produced primarily all white offspring for us. While we don't ever select our breeding stock by what color they are, it's a refreshing change of pace to have some color back into our breeding program. Emmett has everything we have been looking for in a male Parson Russell Terrier to go forward with. He has Breed Type, wonderful movement and a very correctly shaped small compressible chest. He is upbeat and happy about everything and approaches life with that certain swashbuckling attitude that makes everyone stop and notice him. Then after he gets their attention he covers them in kisses! Emmett is linebred on old Pleasant Valley Pistol and these wonderful old hunting bloodlines are some of the best around and are getting harder and harder to find. His sire Chestnutridge Son Of A Gun (called Little Gunner) goes back to old Pleasant Valley Pistol three times who in turn goes back to the old Foxwarren breeding. His dam Buffy has old Pistol in her pedigree one time as well. In addition to the Pistol and the old Foxwarren blood is the blood of Beacon Sam through Ch. Beano of Ravenswood in Little Gunner once and in Buffy once through Beacon Sly. The combination of the Beacon and old Foxwarren blood is a time honored one and has been proven over the last 20 years to produce a terrier capable of working all day in the ground and then going home and laying beside the fireplace at night as a companion. It just can't be beat! Look for Emmett this fall in the show ring. You will love seeing this young dog strut his stuff. |
