Childs Play Shot Thru The Heart is called Leia around here because her father was called Vader; and what else could a daughter of Vader be called? We just couldn't resist! While Leia is one of our smallest females in size, she is certainly not small in heart or attitude by any stretch of the imagination. Leia barely made the bottom of the height requirement at almost 7 months old but we showed her anyway and her first weekend out she was awarded a 3 point major by the noted terrier expert and judge Richard Chashoudian. It was all uphill from there and after only a few select shows she earned her AKC Championship.

Leia has all the characteristics that one looks for in a quality Parson Russell Terrier. She has wonderful reach and drive for such a small bitch and never puts a foot down wrong. When she stops which is unusual for this little dynamo, she automatically stops in a show stack and holds up her head saying, "Look at me, aren't I something?". She exhibits excellent breed type, a wonderful almost smooth coat that is as harsh as the north wind and a chest that is small and very easily spanned and compressed. There just isn't much about this bitch that is structurally wrong.

While Leia can be a real energetic dog out in the yard, never stopping for a moment on her quest to find trouble, when you bring her in the house she settles right down in your lap and cuddles. She has as sweet a temperament as her father Vader who was one of the sweetest dogs around even getting along with and playing with other males.

Leia was shown exclusively out of the Bred By Exhibitor class in the show ring and is qualified for the AKC Eukanuba National Championship in 2007 and 2008 so look for her there when it comes back to the Tampa, Florida area. It will be an honor to show her in this prestigious By Invitation Only event.

Now that Leia is done with her ring duties we will be taking her out and training in Tracking and out into the field when the opportunity presents itself.
