Childs Play Rhythm N Blues , otherwise known as Inky, is one of the finest terriers that has been bred here at Childs Play. She is the epitome of a Parson Russell Terrier from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. When one is talking about the points of a Parson, she can not be overlooked. She exudes Breed Type, exhibits correct movement, and is structured to do the job for which this breed was born to do; going to ground in a natural earth. Her sire, the late Ch. Farmcliff Ben of Childs Play was our first 'correct' Parson Russell Terrier and what a terrier he was. He did everything we asked of him and more, whether it was in the show ring, in the hunt field, or as our faithful companion here at home. Ben was the grandson of Farmcliff Kermit and Pleasant Valley Pistol who have both made their marks in the history of our breed. Inky's dam, Ch. Childs Play Fat Lady Singin' was our first homebred Champion and a daughter of the late JRTBA Ch. Willowall Angus, who has behind him Blencathra Badger and Gravel Hume. With all that great blood running in her veins it is no wonder that she is such an outstanding example of the Parson Russell Terrier. Inky exhibits superb breed type, excellent movement and a show ring attitude that won't quit. She loves to 'show off' to the judge with her ears and tail up, those big eyes sparkling and laughing the whole way around the ring. She has a long stride and isn't afraid to move on out and leave the others in her wake. She believes the whole world is there to see her and the more you look at her the more on her toes she is. |
